This post has been a long time coming. I started this blog on a whim, not really expecting anyone to follow me, or to have any sort of voice. Working full-time, I just haven’t been able to put the work into the blog that I would have liked, or focus on it as often as I have wanted.
While at Quiltcon in Pasadena I really thought a lot about quilting, my life, and where I’d like to go with it all. Must Love Quilts didn’t have much of a purpose and I often found myself waffling about posts. Without direction, I felt a bit adrift. I have taken some time to figure out what kind of content I want to put out into the world, and after developing a solid sense of direction I felt like it was time for a clean start, a fresh slate, a rebrand, if you will.
You can now find out what I’m up to at http://www.sunshinehandcraft.com. I wanted a name that would allow me to occasionally post something crafty, and allow me to sporadically do craft shows as time allows. My main focus will still be quilting, but with more direction. I plan to focus on in-depth tips and tricks that are beyond the basics, color and how to play with it, and finally quilt design, what to do with inspiration. I also plan to post tutorials and patterns from time to time. I know there are several quilts I’ve made that folks are waiting on patterns for, and they are coming!
Thank you to everyone who has followed this blog and supported my quilty endeavors. I do hope that you’ll follow me to Sunshine Handcraft. I have a renewed focus and excitement about everything to come and I hope you’ll join me.
Right now I have a free tutorial for my Full Hearts quilt posted, along with a giveaway for a free fabric. I have more content planned for this month and next, and can’t wait to see where this new journey goes! I would also love for y’all to follow me on Instagram, you can find me at sunshine.handcraft.
