Quick Post today, just wanted to finally share a couple quilts I gifted to my parents for Christmas.
First up is the airplane quilt I made for my dad. He was in the Air Force for 35 years, so I thought this quilt would be perfect for him! He is retired now, so he has plenty of time to put this quilt to good use. I drafted a paper piecing pattern based on a vintage red and white plane quilt. I needle-turn appliqued the propellors, but they could easily be raw-edge appliqued. There has been a bit of interest in the pattern, so I might try and put the paper piecing template on Craftsy once I find a little time to format it so that it makes sense. This was my first time paper piecing, and its my own pattern, so I want to run it by a few friends first to make sure it makes sense to people other than myself. PATTERN NOW AVAILABLE HERE ๐
I don’t have a great picture of this sucker yet, but its a charm pack quilt I made for my mom. I used a bunch of Scrumptious Charm Packs and it fits a queen size bed.
That’s all for now! Happy New Year everyone. ๐
Piece Out!

Hi! I was checking out your blog and came across your Mum’s scrumptious charm pack quilt. I think I have seen a pattern for this before – have you got a pattern for it? Think it looks gorgeous! Thanks, Melissa
